About UCU at UeL

What does UCU at UeL do?

We negotiate with the employers on behalf of UCU members, for example on conditions of service. We provide advice and support for fellow members. We keep members informed and channel local opinion into the national union on major concerns such as staff pensions.

Who can join UCU?

UCU represents full-time, part-time and hourly-paid; permanent and fixed-term staff as well as postgraduate research students.

UCU at UeL has a branch commitee and a number of school ucu reps. Details of the officers and committee members can be found on the Contact Us page.

Any member wishing to stand for election as a Branch Officer or Commitee Member must fill in theĀ Nomination for UCU UEL Branch Officer or Committee Member form and send it to the Branch Secretary or Branch Assistant Secretary at least 28 days before the published date of the next AGM. The form must be signed by the nominee, by the proposer, and by the seconder.
